THE STILL SMALL VOICE

You’ve already had the moment. Not loud.
Not dramatic.
Just clear enough… that ignoring it required effort.
You didn’t move. Not because you didn’t know.Because you weren’t ready to trust what it might cost.

The Still Small Voice is a literary formation experience that guides spiritually sincere women of color in a return to the voice of God—by walking alongside one woman’s journey from self-protection to honest surrender across five acts of becoming that mirrors their own.

This is for the woman who is:Still moving… but not aligned.
Still building… but avoiding something.
Still hearing… but not trusting.
She is not confused. She is negotiating. And the longer she avoids what she already senses,
the quieter it becomes. Not because it’s gone,
but because she’s learned how to move past it.

This is not a self-help book.
Not a devotional.
Not a workbook.
Not a theology lecture.
Not finished.
It does not explain what you should do.
It does not tell you what you already know.
It does not resolve what it raises.
It does not rush toward comfort.
It is not designed to inspire you temporarily.
It is not designed to be read once and shelved.
It is not designed to give you answers.
It is not designed to perform transformation for you.

As you move through Amara’s journey,
you will recognize something you have not been able to name in your own.
No one will point to it for you.
You will find it.
And finding it will cost you something small...
the cost of honesty.
Not answers.
Not resolution.
Just a clearer sense of what you’ve been avoiding…
and what it would mean to stop.

As this book is being written,
this page is forming with it.
What you read here today
is not what you will read when you return.

There is a moment in her story
where she knows what to do...
and doesn’t.Not out of rebellion.
Out of hesitation.
You’ve had that moment too.

When that moment comes again...will you trust it this time?

If something in this work recognized you...
the rhythm is where return becomes a practice.
